Within the framework of the project “NO TO VIOLENCE IN THE FAMILY AND SOCIETY,” Irina Golovanova, Ph.D. in Psychology, St. Petersburg (Russia) shared her opinion that violence is most often caused by cruelty. Irina believes that cruelty is not originally inherent in a human; it’s an acquired quality that manifests itself due to a lack of knowledge and examples of a worthy way out of difficult situations. One of the ways to prevent the acts of violence may be to bring people together in their local communities and create a friendly atmosphere in society. In addition, it is necessary to popularize spiritual and moral values ​​in society at the state level and provide people with the necessary support.
