Global Crisis. The Responsibility | International Online Forum. December 2, 2023

Today, very serious changes are taking place with the climate, and we are not ready for that. We are not ready to admit as parents that our child has no future. We can influence simple things: a child's education, how he is dressed, what he eats, and we do this. However, at least so far, we can also influence whether he will have a future or not. And that's when all our responsibility as parents disappears. We cease to be fathers and mothers, and we become just indifferent people because we reject and do not want to admit that climatic changes already pose a real threat.

A good parent is the one who really cares about the future of their child. Not in the sense of who the child will grow up to be, but in the sense that he will have such an opportunity. If we were truly caring parents, we would not be afraid and would take on this responsibility. And we would do everything to save the life of our child.

How could it happen that we, society as a whole, have come to the point when every person individually seems to be very caring, good and positive, while in general, as a society, we are indifferent to others and turn away from this reality?

In this video, Martin Aketch, an extension officer from Nairobi, shares his observations regarding weather pattern changes over the last three-four years in Kenya, East Africa. In 2019 the long rain season delayed all the way to May. Colder season from June through August was warmer than usual. The short rain season started earlier, around August, and continued all the way to February 2020 when the long rain season was supposed to start. Unstructured weather patterns affected farming and the daily lives of local residents. Many people were displaced from their normal place of residence due to flooding.

CLIMATE. THE FUTURE IS NOW

Sooner or later every modern sensible person realizes that it is necessary, first of all, to find inner balance in oneself and peace of mind. Only within oneself a person can understand and realize the purpose for which he or she was born in this world. Indeed, without the spiritual feeling (deep in heart), one can understand nothing- therefore the Spirit controls the mind. That feeling, when you are one with God, means that you are already a spirit, even if you are in the body yet. Because a person is made of flesh, and God is Spirit, here and now. And this is a deep feeling. Of course, we cannot see God with our eyes. Therefore, those who want to talk to God must be in spirit. Modern people perfectly understand what exactly unites us all. And that our true nature is in freedom, sincerity, love. And all sufferings are just manifestations of the mind. That is why it is so important to learn how to control anxious thoughts, starting, first of all, of course with yourself.

And if there is a feeling of the Holy Spirit, then there is a feeling of God.
