📍Historic Floods in Brazil

The southernmost state of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, is experiencing an unprecedented natural disaster.

Abnormal rains and severe floods have already affected 401 out of 497 municipalities. The state government has declared a state of emergency.

The tragedy has claimed the lives of 151 people, injured 806, and 104 people are still reported missing. The number of affected individuals has already exceeded 2 million, with more than 600,000 forced to leave their homes.

📍Unusual Polar Auroras

The most powerful G5-class solar storm hit Earth's atmosphere on May 10.
The polar auroras ceased to be polar and descended extremely close to the equator this time.
The aurora was observed in Namibia (latitude 23° S) and the Canary Islands (28° N).
Social media was flooded with photos and videos of people against the backdrop of auroras in pink, red, violet, and other atypical shades.

📍Deadly Lahar in Indonesia

On May 11, record rains triggered a catastrophe in West Sumatra province, Indonesia. Torrential floods, landslides, and lahar from Mount Marapi claimed the lives of 58 people, with 35 still missing. Thirty-three people were injured.

Mud and ash flows poured down from the mountain onto residential areas, sweeping away everything in their path. Sixteen bridges and more than 100 houses were flooded, and three houses were completely washed away. As a result of the natural disaster, over 1,500 families were left homeless.

📍Devastating Flood in Afghanistan

Survivors of the catastrophic flood in Afghanistan are still searching for missing relatives and burying the dead.

On May 10, abnormal rains hit the north, center, and west of the country. They caused destructive torrential floods and landslides, resulting in casualties and severe damage.
Rescuers pulled people directly from the raging mudflows.
Preliminary data indicate that more than 330 people have already died, including 51 children, and over 1,600 people have been injured.
The three most affected provinces are Baghlan, Takhar, and Badakhshan.
In Baghlan province alone, 12,000 houses were destroyed. About 40,000 children were left homeless.

📍Massive Disaster in India

On May 10, a powerful dust storm swept through the Indian capital, Delhi, resulting in the deaths of 2 people and serious injuries to 23 others.
On May 13, in the city of Mumbai, a massive advertising billboard over 100 feet high collapsed onto a gas station along a busy road due to storm winds. At the time, more than 100 people were at the gas station, many of whom were trapped under the twisted metal structures. Rescue operations lasted 18 hours. The work was complicated by the fact that cutting equipment could not be used to free people due to the danger of an explosion at the gas station. The incident claimed at least 14 lives and injured 74 people.

📍Major Wildfires in Canada

In western Canada, firefighters are battling the first major wildfires of 2024. Unseasonably high temperatures and ongoing drought have dried out the forests, aiding the spread of the fires. According to the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre, there are more than 130 fires burning across Canada, 40 of which are considered out of control.

Major wildfires have also led to evacuation orders in the province of Manitoba and alerts in the province of Alberta. In Manitoba, as of Monday, the fire had burned over 86,000 acres of land. The fire damaged fiber-optic cables, leaving some communities completely disconnected, and most ATMs out of service, causing residents to run out of cash.

As a result of the fires sweeping the country, hazardous smoke plumes have spread across Canada and the USA.

The trend of increasing disasters over the past 10 years is shocking! Such events have never been observed in our entire history of monitoring. Unfortunately, these catastrophes will soon affect every resident of our planet. The cause of these climate disasters is cyclical external cosmic influence. Climate is changing and it’s our nowadays reality. We experience more temperature anomalies and last year was the hottest in 125,000 years. 2024 breaks the records of the previous year. The ocean is warming at an enormous speed. Climate disasters have increased all over the world.

What can each person do to improve the situation? I already paid my carbon emissions taxes but what else can I do to help other people and contribute to saving lives?

Ways to Resolve Climate Crisis. Presentation of Creative Society Organized With IAYSP Austria

The past week has shown how serious the problem of heavy rainfalls has become. Countries on different continents simultaneously suffered from abnormal floods.

➡️ Strong Storms in Europe
On May 2, several countries in Europe were hit by storms with thunderstorms and heavy rains.
In Germany, storms caused significant damage to some parts of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. After a strong thunderstorm, the Klingbach River overflowed, flooding several settlements.
The Netherlands also suffered from the storms that day. Strong thunderstorms with downpours passed over the province of Limburg. The cities of Venlo and Heerlen were particularly affected. 

➡️ Record Flooding in China
On May 4, heavy rains poured down on several cities in Guangdong province in southern China, including Zhongshan and Zhuhai. The province issued 58 flood warnings, five of which were red, indicating the most serious level of warning.

➡️ Catastrophic Floods in Kenya
Since March, rains have not stopped in Kenya, causing massive floods and landslides. Floods and landslides have claimed 228 lives, with 164 people missing. Unfortunately, there are no signs of the crisis easing, as meteorologists predict such weather will continue into May. 

➡️ Destructive Tornado in the USA
On the evening of May 6, another round of deadly severe weather hit the central part of the USA. The NWS issued over 300 life-threatening weather warnings: lightning, severe hail, and destructive wind gusts. Over 60 tornado warnings were also issued. One of them, the Tornado Emergency Alert, the most severe of all warnings, was issued for Osage County, Oklahoma.

The winter of 2021-2022 will be remembered by many people in different regions of the world for record-breaking snowstorms and cold weather. Large-scale snowfalls were observed in the United States, Europe and Asia. Unusually severe frosts in the Indian capital of New Delhi claimed many lives. 
In Japan, unprecedented snowfall began back in December 2021 and new records for the amount of snowfall are being set each month. In early February 2022, a record amount of snow fell in several prefectures in Japan. Unfortunately, casualties have been reported.

These and other climate records are recounted by eyewitnesses and breaking news reporters in this issue.

On February 5, 2022, a powerful cyclone Batsirai struck the east coast of Madagascar. This is the second destructive storm to hit the island in the last two weeks - the previous Cyclone Ana caused a week of heavy rainfall on Madagascar, killing 55 people and affecting more than 64,000.
Cyclone Batsirai brought torrential rain and winds with gusts of over 230 km/h. As of February 12, Batsirai had killed more than 120 people. More than 50,000 people had to flee their homes.

On February 6, a heavy snowfall struck the highlands of Bhutan. Local old-timers in one area said they had not seen snow like this in over 60 years.

On February 8, 2022, heavy rainfall caused the Otun River to burst its banks in the Department of Risaralda in Colombia. This caused a landslide. Unfortunately, 15 casualties, missing people, and more than 30 injured people have been reported.

During the 10 days of February 2022 alone, there were about 30 volcanic eruptions across the planet.
And there were over 50 earthquakes of magnitude greater than 5.

No one will be spared a massive catastrophe. And that is why it is so important today that everyone learns the Truth. In the face of planetary danger, it is necessary to unite all people for the sake of the future of humanity. 
Today we, as humankind, are faced with global cataclysms and saving the life of each person is our main task. 
After all, there is nothing on earth more precious than human life! 

Now the fate of the whole civilization depends on how quickly we will change the format of our society from a consumer society to a creative one. The Creative Society International Project has already united millions of people who want to live happily: without crises and climatic shocks. On the night of December 10-11, 2021, a terrible tragedy struck residents of the US as several powerful tornadoes wreaked havoc in five states in the South and Midwest. There were 32 reports of tornadoes in a 24-hour period.
Sadly, many people have been killed. There are those who got injured. The fate of hundreds of people is still unknown as search and rescue efforts continue. 
The storm wiped out entire neighborhoods of cities: thousands of families were left homeless, more than 300,000 residents were left without electricity, and more than 16 000 000 people were affected in total.
